I found your Josta website.
I loved that stuff. It came out when I was in like 9th
or 10th grade, and it's what got me through high school.
Just the energy and power. It also had something that
none of the energy drinks today really have...good
flavor. I can kinda remember the taste. But, like most
people, I haven't had it in 12 years. What I do remember
is how much i loved it, and how I used to drink it like
it was water. My friend Mary and used to always have a
bottle handy. I would kill to get my hands on some. I'm
behind you in your fight to get it back.

Hey, really appreciate the
work you're putting into getting the cause up and
running again. Signed the old petition and will do so
again ASAP. I didn't know anyone was working on getting
Josta noticed again til just now actually. I send Pepsi
e-mails and whatnot randomly when I think about my poor
extinct fave drink, but get about as much response as
you seem to as well. Just thought I'd say congrats on
fixing up the site, good luck with the heavy lifting,
and I think we have a good shot at it this time around.
I'm sure you've heard PepsiCo is doing a "Back By
Popular Dew-mand" campaign this summer, giving an 8 week
run to some of the fan faves (Pitch Black, Supernova,
etc) they get more requests for. If there ever was a
better chance to get the best soda EVER back on the
shelves, then I've not seen it yet.

Saturday October 12, 1996....
I remember being 16 years old at a seasonal haunted
house with my friends.. There was a huge josta "street
team" or something like that with a huge pick up truck
just giving away hundreds and hundreds of cans of Josta!
It was great, we kept trying to smuggle away the Josta
in our coats, pants anything we could fit it all in! It
was a great time, we vowed it was the greatest soda we
had ever had in our entire life...Now I sit here almost
ten years later WHERE ARE YOU JOSTA?!? Dear God I need
that drink back in my life I crave the liquid orgasm
contained in those cans!!! HELP ME PEPSI!!! Please
everyone rally and bring it back for us all!!!!

Dude,
The first time I tasted Josta, it was at a festival in
Cleveland, Ohio and they were giving out of a pickup
truck for free. Never in my life before this have I ever
been given something, so this is a fond memory for me
since I loved it. Anyway, I have been wondering what the
hell happened to the best pop on earth and I finally
found this site. I would love it if Pepsi would bring
Josta back. It was the only pop that didn’t make me sick
to my stomach and it tasted 100 times better than any
other pop out on the market. When it was being sold, it
was all I ever bought and still would be, but
unfortunately some people in the business world have
misplaced their heads in their butts, so we’re all
screwed due to a few people who just don’t care. I would
bathe in it. Maybe they took it away because of a few
Guarana addiction rumors. I’ve heard that some health
food stored removed it from their shelves because kids
were “getting high” off of it and soon after that, Josta
disappeared. I wish I could swim in a pool of Josta and
drink it all. *sigh*

I have fond memories of
Josta. Long ago, when I was making lots of drives from
Huntsville down to Montevallo, I would suck down a Surge
and a Josta back to back. The caffeine content of both,
working together (or fighting one another, maybe) in my
head was potent enough that I could feel my hair
growing. There's nothing better in this world than
playing the Carmina Burana at full blast while careening
down dark two-lane roads with the windows down and on a
caffeine high. Whew, those were good days.
Anyway, Josta was Pepsi's guarana-enhanced berry-cola
product. They foolishly stopped making it right in time
to see the energy drink explosion we see around us
today. And it must be good--because I freaking hate
Pepsi. Pepsi to me is just stale Coke.
However, the dream is not dead. There's an entire Save
Josta website. They even have a link to a Josta Reborn
recipe somebody cooked up in their mad scientist's lab.
Can't wait to try that out.
Maybe Pepsi will buy a clue and bring the drink back.
Then we can get Coke to bring back Surge. Fascists.

Hey man. Just saw your Josta page. I didn't realize that
people still cared! Its been years since i had one of
those magnificent little miracles. After it got
discontinued, I went down to my local bottling plant and
they dropped
a couple dozen cases on me for FREE!!!! but the
sweetness didnt last long as my supply began to dwindle.
Anyways, I signed the petition and i'm gonna call and
write pepsi soon....any word from them about the
possibility of
brining it back seasonally???? God PLEASE!!!!

Hey man whats going on? I am josta nut fanatic and I
have been dying to taste one now for a long time!!!! How
is the struggle going to bring this heavenly drink
back??? Is there anything I can do to help?? I signed
the petition!!! I am over here in TX and I can remember
the first time I tasted josta. It was great, so I bought
it again and then it was unbelievable...I was hooked!!!
Thats all I drank all day everyday. Then it slowly
started to disappear and I could only get it at k-mart.
I used to buy them 4-5 12 pack at time! Then this on
Saturday the bomb was dropped on me that it was gone and
alI I had was one 12 pack left. Well I made that 12 last
6 months then I was screwed! I tried all other brands
all kinds...NOTHING!! Thats why I finally decided to
take it a step further and find out what every other
josta lover out there is doing about it! Is there any
merchandise Iike that shirt..please let me know....is
there really no where to get even a sample of the
greatness anymore/?

Thanks for starting this Josta campaign. I'm totally on
board.
On your Josta website, you say that you don't think that
Josta was available in 6 packs 12 packs or 2 liter
bottles. Well, I'm sorry that you didn't get to enjoy
the more reasonably priced packages. In Houston we could
purchase the cans by the 6 pack, 12 pack, or even in 2
liter bottles. Shoot! They even sold the cans for awhile
in my College's (University of Houston) vending
machines!!! I can't tell you how many Josta
sugar/guarana highs helped me get through Architecture
school all-night work fests.
Even though I could get the cans, I usually liked the
20oz bottles. Josta is one of the only drinks I think
tastes better in the bottle than the can. You could put
it in the freezer and often it wouldn't get solid until
your tongue touched the liquid. The taste of Josta WHILE
it freezes! Then you would have like a Josta ICEE!!!! Oh
man! What Ecstasy! (By the way, you can do this to many
drinks like Coca-Cola. But none of them are as good as
Josta was.)
